Profile:

Having worked in Aer Rianta Dublin (now the DAA, Dublin Airport Authority), Yvonne left and established Peak Achievement Ltd. in January 2000, where she worked as an independent training and development consultant, with her particular expertise in the areas of Effective Management Skills, Leading and Working in Teams, Personal Development & Achievement and Outdoor Team Development Programmes.

Yvonne conducted in-company training programmes and facilitated Management Development projects for organisations such as Dublin Fire Brigade, Davy Stockbrokers, Compustore, St. James Hospital, Bertelsmann and Aer Lingus.

Within Land Registry and Registry of Deeds and the Valuation Office, she facilitated training in the introduction of a Performance Management and Development System (PMDS).

As a consultant trainer for Irish Times Training, Yvonne has worked with numerous companies and organisations such as Fujitsu, Eircom, Lexmark, VHI, Whirlpool, South Dublin County Council, University College Cork (UCC), University College Dublin (UCD) and Renaissance Capital Investments in Moscow.

Following an initial consulting project, Yvonne joined Unilever Bestfoods Ireland in June 2002 as Organisational Development and Training Manager. In January 2003, she moved into the role of Change Manager for the implementation of the Unilever SAP business integration project where she focused on the areas of Business Risk identification, Internal Change Strategy implementation and Communication and Staff Re-training for the new business environment.

Her next project was as Communications Manager for the 'One Unilever' project (Global Unilever business re-design and simplification) in Ireland and HR Manager / Business Partner for the Home & Personal Care Division. This role involved the integration of the Home and Personal Care division within the Foods Business, resulting in the formation of Unilever Ireland Ltd. Her focus was managing all of the Division's HR issues of the office move to a single site and the formation of a single business.

She also managed the co-ordination of and alignment with the new European Communication function, translating global Unilever communication plans into country relevance; including the development and implementation of internal communication within the business - ensuring optimal awareness and understanding of Board strategy, company activities and relevant issues / opportunities.

Yvonne returned to Peak Achievement Ltd in January 2006; re-igniting her Change consulting and Training roles in the public, private and voluntary sectors. In 2006, her consultancy role involved setting up a Performance Review System for Cronin's Movers Ltd. and the customisation and training of a Performance Appraisal System for Veolia Ireland (Luas).

Consulting Projects: Her most recent work has seen her involved in:

  • The Finance outsourcing Change Management programme for Unilever Ireland.
  • Communications and Change Consultant with the Arts Council of Ireland, as part of their Change programme
  • Management Development Programme for Senior Management Team and Higher Executive Officers in the Arts Council of Ireland
  • Design and Development of a Management Development Programme for The Irish Times, and delivery of Module 1 of same programme
  • HR support service to small businesses, CAB Freight Services and Blue Insurances
  • Providing 1:1 Mentoring to business executives in the achievement of their business deliverables, people management issues, personal development and managing change
